Each year, the Wisconsin Regional Artists Association features artwork by artists in the Wisconsin Regional Artists Program who have received a State Award for one or more of their art pieces. This year, two of my works received State Awards, Waterlily Trio and University Reflections. I chose Waterlily Trio, representative of the newer painterly direction I have begun exploring in my work, to enter into the show. This work then received the Waukesha Creative League Award at the WRAA State Show. It is an acknowledgement which is very encouraging and for which I am most appreciative.
